Old and new

As I've been drawing my childhood monsters again, now here is one of my I could say first full character from my childhood 2005, redrawn! I created him for a role playing game forum which yess was one of my hobbies back in the days, I was 12 year old. :D (In case you don't know what forum based role playing means, it's simply where you write stories about your own character with other people and everyone continues the story with their own characters point of view.) During that time I started to draw A Lot on computer also.

I think it's fun to put your not just old drawing next to a new one, now there is my child's mind creation also, and how 'it would look now'.

And also, I got a commission to draw these two well known characters together - for a tattoo! This commissioner was my relative, and he wanted to have these characters in a friendly hug. So here is the picture of it

My drawings lately

Here is some of my works what I've done and put them on Deviantart / my Facebook art page. I was thinking to update some sketch thing here but since I don't have much to show I'll just put these works here. After ~one week I will start a bit different period in my internship work place, and I will have a lot of work-things to draw ! So I might be more silent during that time (1-2 months) but we'll see how busy that will be. :) 

As you see I've been updating my blog's layot, and I'm not still satisfied with it..! So, I'll do some testing again when I have time for that.
 

 

Easter themed Finnish Art Raffle

"I did this painting for a one big Finnish "Art raffle event" where ~200 people draw each other's own character, but the thing is that no one knows who is going to draw for you."

 

 Illustration for a (card) Game project

" I've been working on this little by little on free days and evenings since I've been busy with work things. This is a commission work illustration for a game project which project names so far is going by "Skies Of Skull And Bone" . So yay, I got to do something a bit different again! I hope you like this after seeing so many cute cats and animals in my gallery hehe. At least for me working on this was a little exploration."

What if  - (Ginga fanart)

"I haven't drawn Ginga related full picture for a long time, until ! This was just a fast one.
I just saw one screenshot from Ginga series where was Gin with his brothers. Gin's brothers / sisters didn't really have a big role at all as you know. So what if Gin's brothers had been part of the story more ? This is a drawing about how it could look. Here Gin's siblings sees their brother's scars for the first time.
I made the brown one to be a female, she grew up to be strong with temperamental personality. She's freaking out about his brother's scars and accident, complaining and yealling not to get into troubles again. The white one, kind personality, is just happy to see his brother again and doing okay.
It was fun trying to imagine how they would look and be together.

Pet portraits

Hey hey!

I've been trying to update this layout here but I haven't had time to continue it yet, that's why it still looks.. like this.

Anyway I've been very busy with drawing works, commissions, drawing works which I can not put on internet yet, and other things too. Especially after around one month I will need to finish one big and not so easy drawing every week, totally four of them. That will be exciting, busy, and fun.

What I can show you is these commissioned pet portraits!

Updated commission infos and something else

Sorry for just copying my DeviantArt things and texts, but I guess I could upload soon some sketches or maybe even "Kuutti" comic ! But here is what I've been doing now, from DA;

My 2014 first work
Here is me (Lin) and my great friend Meepa. She doesn't have her own fursona yet, but she said lately that she would be a red panda. This scene just came in my mind since I've been wanting to draw something with snow and nice lightnings - and we have been talking every day so much, as usual. She doesn't use DA right now but that doesn't stop me dedicating this for her, my friend!

 Aand I updated my commission infos and prizes, just so it's easier to understand and read.

My year 2013

First time I did this!
And I even had hard time with choosing the pictures, because especially in end of the year there was so many. And some other months too. I remember when a few years ago I was thinking like "How can people draw so much that they have a picture for Every month!"   I'm glad that I've reached this point when it's only natural

And about this year, I think this year has been the best for me. I have learned so much, tried different things, got published my works, and I really went off from the so called "safety zone" many times. Looking forward for next year!

Pitkästä aikaa ! Tein aikoinaan paaaljon tilaustöitä, mutta siitä onkin nyt jo aikaa kun viimeksi tein saati mainostin niitä aktiivisesti. Nyt kun koulu alkaa hiljentyä joulua kohti, uskallan laittaa tämän esille. :) Otan nyt aluksi yhden tilaustyön työn alle näin aluksi, että saan kevyen aloituksen~

Huom, etenkin nyt kun otan vain yhden tilauksen, mietithän ensin mitä haluat ennen yhteydenottoa, ettet varaa ainoaa paikkaa kun vasta pohdit mitä haluaisit. Kysymyksiä saa toki aina lähettää!

Finally I was able to make this for me! I did a loooot of commissions back in the days, but now it has been a long time! School and works has been keeping me busy, but now, I think I can start to do these again because I really want to and I have time for it now.

I hope I remembered all the important things, if I didn't, you can ask anything.

To give myself an easy start, I will only take one slot for now. Later on more, if people are interested.
Oh, and one thing if I can ask, please think first what you would like to order and then send me a message, so you are not holding the only slot while thinking.

Tein aikoinaan tilaustyönä Hopeanuoli aiheisia kirjanmerkkejä. Muistitikun kätköistä löytyi yksi julkaisematon yksilö. Blogiani taitaa seurata ainakin muutamia innokkaita Hopeanuoli faneja, niin ajattelin heidän iloksi näyttää tämänkin.

Works without computer (old ones)

Piirtäminen koneella on melko lailla vakiintunut omaksi tyylikseni, tottakai luonnoskirjaan tulee edelleen piirreltyä suoraan mustilla tusseilla. En taida edes omistaa kunnon lyijykynää tällä hetkellä. Tässä muutamia käsin tehtyjä töitä, puukynistä vesiväreihin. Työt ovat vuoden tai enemmänkin vanhoja, koulu- ja tilaustöitä. Klikkaamalla kuvia näet ne hieman suuremmassa koossa.

Tämäkin koulussa tehty, jo Deviantartissakin ollut vanhempi työ. Maalauksen ideana oli värien käyttö: saimme käyttää maalaukseen vain 3 eri ruskean sävyä sekä musta+valkoinen. Esimerkiksi punaista tai vihreää väriä ei saanut käyttää muuten kuin sekoittamalla ja silmiä hämäämällä. Esimerkiksi harmaata vasten maalattu tietty ruskeansävy näyttää punaisemmalta.

 Tässä tilautyönä tehtyjä kirjanmerkkejä (puuväreillä). Kirjanmerkit päällystettiin muovilla molemmin puolin ja kiinnitettiin vielä mustalle tukevalle pohjalle. Milloinkohan viimeksi olen värittänyt puuväreillä?

 Koulutyönä tehty postimerkkikuvitus. Aiheena suomalainen ruokasieni, ja valitsin sienen nimeltään limanuljaska. Tässä kuva ilman postimerkkiin kuuluvia tekstejä.

Magnets magnets

Tässä pieni juttu tekemistäni magneeteista kun olen niitä aikamoisen kasan jo väsäillyt. Osa on minulta tilattu, ja osan olen omaksi ilokseni piirtänyt, ja väki on niitä jonkin verran sitten ostanut. Tässä vähän kuvia erilaisista magneeteista mitä olen tehnyt. Magneetit ovat siis paksulle valokuvapaperille hyvällä laadulla tulostettu, kiinnitetty mustaan pohjaan joka tekee magneetista entistä tukevamman, sen jälkeen vielä päällystetty kiiltävällä muovilla ja magneettiosa taakse.

Pokémons! Halusin kokeilla piirtää Pokémoneja ensimmäistä kertaa koskaan.. oli ihan mukavaa!

Tämä oli 'tilaustyö' tädiltäni. Hän halusi nimenomaan magneetiksi leijonan joka makaa rahan päällä, sekä vihreällä taustalla. Jotain syvällistä tarkoitusta tässäkin kenties?
